I don't usually journal on here. To me my journal is something private and personal. I have a drawer full of filled jounals. I keep one going all the time. It is a place for me to record events, bitch about my day, yell and scream in a safe environment where no one will hear. My journal is like a trustworthy friend, who never gives bad advise. It always is there for me to unload my burdens into. And once I do it is like magic. I don't have to feel those feelings any more unless I want to. I don't have to think about those events anymore unless I want to. It gives me power over my own emotions. It is also a record of events, so far into the future, if I vaguely remember something, I can go back and read about it all over again and remember. my journal will remember for me, so I don't have to. So to me it is both freedom and empowerment and relief.
